Alkaline Foods

Alkaline Foods

Our bodily fluids are alkaline. The body is always working to maintain this alkaline ph. If we are constantly consuming acid foods our body is working very hard to keep this ph level in check. If we eat alkaline foods we free up energy for us to use and for our body to heal us.

Today many foods are GMO and acidic, but lucky for you here is a list of alkaline foods so you can improve your health starting today!

Quick Tips

It is always best to buy organic. This is to avoid any pesticides, herbicides or insecticides, and because they aren't pumped with other chemicals to make them bigger with higher sugar content. They have a much higher fibre and nutrient content. So if you think the few extra dollars isn't worth it, consider the cost per nutrients. You are getting a much better bang for your buck. You should avoid microwaves, they will kill all the nutrients in your food and leave you with an empty substance. Other things that you should avoid are, canned foods, seedless fruits, refined sugar, alcohol and dairy. Animal products are also acidic foods.

Final Note

You want to aim for a few of the foods in each category daily for a well balanced diet. Cut out refined sugar completely.  There are alternatives, natural sweeteners high in sugar like maple syrup and honey for example. The body has a much easier time breaking these down, so substitute sugar with these for your baking or anything else. Finally, replace your table salt with celtic salt and salt all of your meals. Celtic salt contains the exact mineral balance of the oceans salt, which is also the perfect mineral balance our body needs! Isn't the lord amazing?
